Queen's Park

The archival image in this photo is from the Toronto Archives, Fonds 1244 Item 0635. It was taken by William James Jr. in 1936. William James Sr. created a prolific photography business in the early 1900s that he then passed onto his son. Their collection now boats over 10,000+ glass plate images which is so impressive considering the equipment needed back then.

Queen's Park is the site of decision making in the province and was the second official park ever inaugurated in Toronto.
